Annual Birthday Pictures

So I took my kids to get their pic taken for their birthday's and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. They loved it and cooperated so well, I hardly had to do anything but encourage them. So here are some of my favs, there were so many good ones to choose from. They just seem so grown up now. I didn't have the two together for too many shots because it will be outdated in just two months anyways.

This was Ashlyn's favorite and we got it because it will match her room so well, after we get it painted (my main project right now).

Doesn't he just look like a character from Huck Finn? So cute!

WOW! Seven wonderful years

August 17, 2008 Kris and I celebrated our seventh wedding annivarsary. I cannot believe that it has been that long! The best seven years of my life, and I have had a good life. So to Kris, here are the top seven (even though there are many more!) reasons I love you so much!! You are...

1- So creative and smart, always thinking of something bigger and better.

2- ATTRACTIVE, more and more so with each passing year.

3- Such an incredible father for our children, so willing to be with them and genuinely enjoying each moment.

4- So patient with me (especially in my pregnant state of mind).

5- Honorable and respectable, truly a man of integrity and rigtheousness.

6- Always trying to do more to stretch yourself and achieve goals, while still staying so practical.

7- Active and athletic and push me to do the same, yet you still enjoying being a homebody with me sometimes :)

I am such a lucky girl to have you for time and all eternity!

PICTURE BLOG TAG
The rules are you have to take ten pictures of the following things. And you have to do it right away. No straightening, cleaning or wiping your child's nose. Then you tag five others.
Good thing I spent the day cleaning...here we go!
1. The fridge

Nothing special just lots of yogurt and fruit.
2. The closet

I LOVE my closet. Don't you love how I just throw my clothes over the bar when I am too lazy to hang them up after trying them on.
3. A self portrait

I used the timer to take and Ashlyn to tell me if I was in the pic, she didn't tell me my head was cut off. I thought I would make it a belly shot! Sorry for the sloppy clothes, I was cleaning!
4.Your favorite room

Does the shower count as a room? Well, it is a toss up between my bedroom, esp. my bed (not the headboard) and my shower/bathroom.
5. The kitchen sink

It is in a state of chaos because my dishwasher is broken. I just love washing my dishes by hand when I am 6 months pregnant :)
6. The laundry room

Nothing special but it is not in the garage (it was at my other house) and it is upstairs which I love!!
7. The toilet

I'll spare you all by not getting too close.
8.What are your kids doing right now

Ashlyn is building Winnie the Pooh a lego house and Jaren just woke up so he is kicking it with Kris watching "Mad Money" on TV (don't you love bedhead).
9. Your dream vacation

I have heard lots about Jamacia lately. That would be pretty incredible! Really anywhere tropical would do!
10. Your favorite shoes

Simple, cheap, dark colored, and essential!

Well that was fun, I now tag Marla Ontko, Violet Lufkin, Holley Williamson, Katrina Parker, and Maia Boring
HAVE FUN GIRLS! YOU HAVE TO DO IT! I'll be checking!
(If I can do it anyone can!)

Happy Birthday Little Man!

Born just four days after his daddy's 30th birthday, we will always have back-to-back celebrations and he can always remember Kris' age, as soon as he knows how to add. We just finished the festivities for Jaren's b-day. I cannot believe that he is two already!

We had Jaren and Lincoln's birthday together. These two are the funniest cutiest little things. True partners in crime. It is so fun that they are just 3 weeks apart. They chose to run around in a diaper for most of the day and then the last picture is them in the front yard spitting on snails...BOYS!

Happy Birthday Kris

We had a fun Family Home Evening at my parents to celebrate Kris' and David's birthdays. These are pictures of the cake Ashlyn decorated for her daddy, Kris and David enduring, I mean enjoying, the incredibly long birthday song that is a tradition to sing in our family, and then our FHE activity that Marla was in charge of, an adorable reinactment of the good Samaritan. Jaren loved being the horse and Lincoln loved Jaren being the horse! Kris finally cashed in on three years of birthday money to get himself a Wii. He is so frugale and patient, and the wait was worth it and we all love it, unfortunately I do not have a picture of him playing yet.
