Happy Birthday Little Man!

Born just four days after his daddy's 30th birthday, we will always have back-to-back celebrations and he can always remember Kris' age, as soon as he knows how to add. We just finished the festivities for Jaren's b-day. I cannot believe that he is two already!

We had Jaren and Lincoln's birthday together. These two are the funniest cutiest little things. True partners in crime. It is so fun that they are just 3 weeks apart. They chose to run around in a diaper for most of the day and then the last picture is them in the front yard spitting on snails...BOYS!

Happy Birthday Kris

We had a fun Family Home Evening at my parents to celebrate Kris' and David's birthdays. These are pictures of the cake Ashlyn decorated for her daddy, Kris and David enduring, I mean enjoying, the incredibly long birthday song that is a tradition to sing in our family, and then our FHE activity that Marla was in charge of, an adorable reinactment of the good Samaritan. Jaren loved being the horse and Lincoln loved Jaren being the horse! Kris finally cashed in on three years of birthday money to get himself a Wii. He is so frugale and patient, and the wait was worth it and we all love it, unfortunately I do not have a picture of him playing yet.

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

Ashlyn is now the big four, she is growing up so fast!

Bon Voyage

For my father-in-law's birthday we went on a weekend cruise to Ensanada with them, grandma, grandpa, Violet, Tom, Dave and Julie. It was a great time! Happy Birthday Dwight and thanks Brenda for the cruise. We are so lucky to have such great parents!

Thanks Marla for taking the kids!

Muddy Mess

So the last day of June was such a mess for us! We woke up to no water pressure and water gushing down the street, which we figured was running for 6 to 10 hours that night:) Any guess of what our next water bill will be? So after spending the morning on the phone trying to figure out who can help (or take responsibility) it turned out to be a quick fix, but we didn't realize until family came to resuce us. Kris had to be at work so I felt stranded and my family were our heros. We owe Josh and Dad big time!!
What I learned:
1- How much I love and appreciate my family! Thanks you guys!
2- I need to reevaluate how much water I thought I would need in an emergency (food storage), we use it more than we think!

Aquarium

I'm back. I am such a procrastinater. So our family went to the Aquarium of the Pacific for the first time, thanks Violet for the free tickets! We had a great time!

Jaren got brave and touched a starfish!

Ashlyn, a little nervous to turn her back on the scubadiver.
